Purpose

The pupose of this course it to provide training whereby the public can obtain an overview of selected case studies and an overview of the TCEQ recommended treatment procedures for using rainwater for indoor, potable and non-potable purposes

a. Recognition: No recognitions are given for participation in this course.

b. Participation Requirements: No requirements are necessary for participation in this course.

c. Course Requirements: Rainwater Harvesting In-Home Use – (RWH-IHU): This fee-based course is offered to the public. It requires at least 8 hours of training and is geared for those wanting to know TCEQ recommended design and installation techniques as well as water quality considerations. There is no prerequisite for experience.

d. Expectations: Participants will increase their knowledge regarding In-Home Use of rainwater. Participants will increase their knowledge regarding water quality concerns and considerations and TCEQ water treatment and system design recommendations.

e. Time Commitment: Only the length of the program.

f. Service Examples: No service requirement.

g. Available Resources: Access to the Rainwater Harvesting Taskforce Web site and access to Texas AgriLife Extension Service County Extension Agents.
