Description
Rainwater is harvested from two separate buildings in the park. A 2,000 gallon tank is collecting from 3 sides of the concession stand and restroom facility while the 1,000 gallon tank is collecting from 1 side of the maintenance shed. From the downspouts to the tanks, all piping is located underground to allow for sidewalks directly beside the buildings. The tanks and all piping were painted to match the building. This allowed the system to easily blend into the park design. Water collected will supply a butterfly garden and newly planted trees with supplemental water.
